Bob Foreman chases a serial killer while Brandy Bane is ferreting out the players in a multi-state drug distribution ring. The work appears typical until the cases start to intersect. Again and again, Bob's victim is found with drugs from the group Brandy is working on. Complicating things is the fact that the murders occur in different counties in different states and there is not much more than strong conjecture and the instincts of a seasoned detective to suspect that a serial killer is at work.
